versatile tunic. |

The
long jacket - - or open tunic - - was knitted with 42 different
colors. |

|
| The
cashmere and silk blend is handspun and nature-dyed. |
I
am wearing this tunic
since 2002 and love it. |

I have modified and added information to the Moebius scarf with hemstitch pattern,
as you can see in the following pictures.
The pattern and the necessary number of stitches is provided for three sizes:
a small shawl on the right, a medium shawl on the left and the new, large version at the bottom.

The
Moebius scarf has many uses; draped over the shoulders it
keeps them warm and looks attractive. Should it get cooler,
it can be pulled over the head. It can also be wrapped twice
around the neck and, if it is very cold, pulled up like
a hat.

Here are three
variations on the theme “Autumn Leaves”:
The red shawl
was knitted with four different colours, the orange shawl
uses three and the green shawl is constructed based on
two colours.
The shawls
can easily be made in different sizes and with a wide
variety of yarns. More information is found in the pattern.

21 Reversable vest for women or men. |

This vest is both practical as well as elegant and can be worn with either side showing. The pattern has a different appearance, depending on which side is used as right side.
The knitting instructions for the dark blue vest are in European size 40 (approx. medium in North American sizing). The grey vest is for European size 50 (approx. large).
The buttons on the collar make it possible to close the vest at the top.
This vest can also be made without provisions for buttons.
Both pictures show faint images of falling snow in the background - - proof that they were taken during the winter! (December 2008).

STR 22 A The illustrated, step by step instructions for this weave-stitch pattern from Peru include 20 pictures as well as text. The instructions for the weave-stitch are also available separately. |

STR 22The cap can be worn in many ways |
Lotte Wackerhagen, who is a Danish knitwear designer, learned about this Peruvian weave-stitch pattern from a fellow knitter in Norway. Lotte has now passed it on to me in Germany.
|
STR 22
The side of the cap is knitted in the Peruvian weave-stitch pattern. The flat top is in garter stitch.

The instructions for the Peruvian Weave Stitch pattern are illustrated with 20 pictures and explained with text. They are available separately, under order number STR 22 A. Please note: they are not part of STR 23.

STR 23
The decorative borders were knitted using the Weave Stitch pattern.
|
|
The pattern for this garment includes a detailed drawing. This makes it easier to personalize the instructions to suit individual sizes and thus guarantees a better fit.
Lotte knitted this vest and sweater from a silk/wool blend to suit her own measurements. However, this picture shows our model Irina wearing Lotte’s vest.
I dyed the yarn with Cochenille.
|
|
STR 23 Lotte’s combination for winter. The short vest is worn over the sweater and shows off the variety of borders which were knitted in weave stitch. |
The sweater features particularly well placed raglan sleeves.
They were knitted from the bottom up, without the usual raglan seam.

The pattern is also suitable for a jacket. The yarn should be firmly spun so that the coat doesn't stretch or bulge. To this end, it is useful to overtwist the yarn slightly. No need to worry about the garment tracking! The unique pattern of the coat accommodates a slightly overtwisted yarn.
|
|
STR 24 This coat is versatile, durable and practical. It can be an ordinary housecoat or a dressy coat for a concert or theatre. If you're attending an outdoor production and the seat is cold, you can even fold it up and use it as a cushion!
